Mission and vision of the YWCA of Racine

Strengthening families and empowering the lives of women and girls - that is what the YWCA is all about. As times have changed, the ways in which the YWCA has accomplished those goals have changed, but the vision has remained the same. As we look forward, the YWCA of Racine is undertaking new ways to support families, to help girls build better futures, and to help women become stronger and more secure.

Programs at the YWCA of Racine

Programming runs continuously throughout the year to address specific needs of urban women girls and children. Programs like the YWCA of Racine Girls, Inc. program addresses such areas as self-esteem building, career exploration, academic development, and team building. Programs for women target job search, interview preparation, career development and retention, educational opportunities, career skills, goal setting and peer support. Last year over 300 women and girls have benefited from our women’s economic empowerment and girls’ leadership programs!
